Knowing how to swim can save lives.

At CSS, we are very serious when it comes to the safety of our swimmers and community. The pandemic has made finding and having swim classes a real challenge, so we decided to produce a series of do-it-yourself learn-to-swim videos that parents can practice with their kids, and make safe swimming practice available to everyone. Our innovative learn-to-swim method, the CSS Way, works. And it works well. Through these videos, parents will learn how to teach their kids essential lifesaving swimming skills.

Why Does the CSS Work?

The CSS Way’s innovative skill-based system allows any child or swimmer to advance based on their individual strengths (and weaknesses). Using simple progressions and focused techniques, any swimmer can learn to swim and develop their stroke technique by following these easy-to-learn-it-yourself videos and instructions.

Our Unique Approach to Beginner Swimmers

We believe beginners must be taught independence in the pool from the very get-go, albeit in a fun and motivating environment. The goals for our beginners is to learn to swim across the pool, by getting in, getting across, and getting out by themselves while breathing as needed.

The key beginners skills we teach are safe entries and exits, how to hold your breath and go underwater, floating and learning to swim that initial (yet essential) first short distance on their own. Each skills is taught using proven progressions, techniques and focus points.
