Another unique aspect of the CSS Way is that we introduce advanced skills at younger ages. This approach challenges swimmers more, and allows instructors to identify strengths and weaknesses at younger ages, resulting in a more personalized approach for each swimmer.
Furthermore, the CSS Way is designed to prepare swimmers for competitive swimming (or water sports in general) by introducing the 4 competitive strokes at the youngest age possible. Each stroke is taught based on the individual’s strength in that stroke, and thus each stroke is advanced independent of the other skills. This approach prevents swimmers from plateau’ing, and ensures constant development of swim skills.
The Intermediate swimmer program focuses primarily on teaching the basic movements of the 4 strokes, specifically for the arms, legs, head and body positioning. These basic techniques will be perfected later in the Advanced Swimmer program. Not to be outdone, other essential skills like water safety, general fitness and deep end skills and also incorporated into the CSS Way Intermediate Swimmer program.
